Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FindLocalClub website and service (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for a club or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
Eligibility and Accounts
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. You must provide accurate account information, keep it up to date, and protect access to your email account and sign-in links. You are responsible for activity under your account and must notify us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
Clubs and Organisation Roles
Club owners and administrators are responsible for managing their clubs, memberships, invitations, public profiles, and billing. They must have authority to provide club information and invite members. Users are responsible for confirming that invitations, announcements, events, and other club information are genuine and current.
User Content
"User Content" means any club details, profiles, posts, comments, events, invitations, images, links, or other material that a user submits, uploads, or publishes through the Service.
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute it only as necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Service. This licence ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, except for reasonable backup retention and content others have independently copied or shared.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of publishing it. You confirm that you have all rights, permissions, and lawful grounds needed to submit it and that it does not violate these Terms or anyone else's rights.
We do not create, endorse, verify, or guarantee User Content. We do not routinely pre-screen it and are not responsible for its accuracy, legality, quality, safety, or reliability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from User Content or from reliance on it. The person who publishes User Content remains responsible for it.
We may review, restrict, or remove User Content, or suspend the account that provided it, when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, infringes rights, creates risk, or must be removed by law. We are not required to monitor all User Content. To report unlawful or harmful content, contact [email protected] with the relevant link and details.
Public Content and Privacy
Content marked as public, including public club profiles, posts, and events, can be viewed, copied, indexed, and shared by anyone. Do not publish personal, confidential, or sensitive information that you do not want made public. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Prohibited Conduct
You must not use the Service to:
- break the law or encourage unlawful conduct;
- publish content that is fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, or unlawfully discriminatory;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
- share another person's personal information without a lawful basis and any required permission;
- distribute spam, malware, malicious code, or unauthorised advertising;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a club or organisation;
- gain unauthorised access to accounts, data, or systems;
- interfere with, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- evade access restrictions, security controls, or enforcement action.
Events and Club Activities
Clubs, organisers, members, and events listed through the Service are independent from FindLocalClub. We do not organise, supervise, vet, insure, or guarantee them. Information about schedules, locations, organisers, safety, suitability, and availability may be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for evaluating an activity, following the organiser's rules, using appropriate equipment, and deciding whether participation is safe for you. Participation in physical or in-person activities is at your own risk.
Paid Subscriptions and Polar
Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by Polar, which acts as merchant of record and authorised reseller. By completing checkout, you also agree to Polar's Buyer Terms and acknowledge Polar's Privacy Policy.
The price, billing period, applicable taxes, trial terms, and number of seats are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You authorise Polar and its payment providers to charge the payment method supplied at checkout for each renewal.
You can manage or cancel a subscription through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless the checkout terms or applicable law say otherwise. Except where required by law, charges for elapsed billing periods are not refundable. Deleting a FindLocalClub account does not replace cancellation through the billing portal; you remain responsible for charges until cancellation is confirmed.
We may change subscription prices or features with the notice and consent required by applicable law. Failure to pay may result in restricted or suspended access to paid features.
Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content created by us, is owned by FindLocalClub or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of the Service or other users' content to you.
Third-Party Services and Links
The Service relies on or links to third-party services, including Polar and Google. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, content, or acts beyond our reasonable control.
Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account in settings. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, fail to pay applicable fees, or when required by law. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including provisions about ownership, responsibility, disclaimers, and liability, will continue to apply.
Service Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that content and club information will be accurate or complete. Nothing in these Terms limits warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FindLocalClub and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from the Service, User Content, third-party services, clubs, events, or these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable law so provides.
Changes to the Service or Terms
We may change the Service and these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms here and change the date above. For material changes, we will provide reasonable additional notice when required by law. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.
